Anorthosis Famagusta parts ways with sporting director Apostolos Makridis
The new president of Anorthosis Famagusta, Dinos Toumazis, has officially confirmed the termination of the contract with sporting director Apostolos Makridis. Although Makridis had two years remaining on his contract, both parties agreed to a mutual separation, with compensation negotiations currently underway. This decision follows a period of administrative transition after the General Assembly held last Friday. The club has also secured a three-year stadium naming rights agreement worth 3 million euros to bolster its finances. Meanwhile, the administration is prioritizing the hiring of a new head coach and is finalizing summer training plans, with Poland selected as the venue for the main camp. Negotiations regarding player contract renewals, including those of Kiko and Sensi, remain a key focus for the management. Despite the ongoing transfer embargo, the club is working to resolve outstanding administrative and financial issues.
