Scheduled road works and traffic restrictions in Cyprus

Multiple road works are scheduled across various highways in Cyprus between May and June 2026. On the Larnaca Airport-Ayia Napa highway, grass clearing will take place from May 19 to June 10, between 08:30 and 16:30, excluding Sundays and holidays, resulting in partial shoulder closures. Simultaneously, the Limassol bypass and Paphos-Limassol highway will undergo landscaping work from May 4 to June 30, with right-lane closures of approximately 1500 meters between 07:00 and 15:00. From June 3 to June 24, the Limassol-Paphos highway will see grass cutting operations on shoulders and exits, requiring partial shoulder closures between 08:30 and 15:00 on weekdays. Furthermore, between June 9 and June 28, the installation of emergency openings on the Larnaca airport-Paralimni and Larnaca-Nicosia highways will cause 100-meter lane closures. Additional traffic restrictions are set for the same routes between 09:00 and 17:00, excluding Fridays and weekends. Motorists are advised that these schedules involve varying time frames and specific operational zones.
