Double homicide investigation in Longos, Aigio

A 54-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son were found dead in their home in Longos, Aigio, on Tuesday. The 26-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the head from an air gun and multiple stab wounds, while his mother died from stab wounds and showed defensive injuries, suggesting a struggle. Police recovered an air gun and a knife hidden in a planter in the yard. A 65-year-old Italian man, who was the woman's partner, is the primary suspect and is currently being questioned. The suspect denies any involvement, claiming he found the victims dead after waking up and requested help from a neighbor. Investigators noted that the suspect had scratches on his arms and was reportedly intoxicated during questioning. Additionally, a recently washed shirt belonging to the suspect was found with suspected blood stains. Authorities are currently processing these findings to determine the sequence of events and verify if the recovered weapons are connected to the crime.
