Mother and son found dead in Aigio, Greece

On Tuesday afternoon, a 54-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son were discovered dead in their home in Longos, Aigio. Forensic examination revealed the son was shot in the head with an air gun and sustained multiple stab wounds, while the mother showed defensive wounds and stab injuries. Police believe the mother was attacked after hearing the initial assault on her son. Officers discovered an air gun and a knife in a flower pot in the yard, which are currently being analyzed as potential murder weapons. A 65-year-old Italian man, who was the woman's partner, is currently being questioned by authorities. The suspect denies any involvement, claiming he discovered the bodies after waking up and subsequently contacted the police through a neighbor. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and it has not been confirmed if the suspect is the biological father of the victim. Investigations by the Hellenic Police are ongoing.
