Papadopoulos expressed skepticism regarding the event's ability to launch an international career for Greek artists. He argued that participation often leads to career stagnation for many performers. As an exception, he acknowledged Eleni Foureira as the only Greek artist who successfully leveraged the competition for an international career. The singer remains firm that the potential risks to his professional reputation outweigh the benefits of competing.
