Dubai opens first women-only beach in Al Mamzar
Dubai has officially opened a dedicated beach area exclusively for women and young children in the Al Mamzar district. The facility is part of the broader 500 million AED Al Mamzar Beach Initiative, which falls under the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. The project spans 2.75 million square feet and aims to draw seven million annual visitors. To ensure privacy, the beach is fully fenced, staffed entirely by women, and strictly prohibits the use of cameras or recording devices. Access is restricted to women and children, with a specific age limit prohibiting boys older than six. The site features 24-hour night swimming in a 300-meter zone equipped with high-intensity lighting, lifeguard towers, and twelve emergency stations. No men are permitted to enter the facility at any time.
