Road closure on Patras Street in Yermasoyia due to pipeline works

A section of Patras Street in Yermasoyia is currently closed to traffic to facilitate the connection of a new water reservoir pipeline to the existing network. The Limassol District Organization for Local Government (EOA) announced that the closure commenced on Friday, May 15, at 9:00 a.m. Authorities state that a full closure is required because the pipeline infrastructure is located in the opposing traffic lane, rendering partial access unsafe. The construction work is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at which point the road will reopen. The project is currently in its final stages, with water tightness tests already underway. Motorists are advised to follow the designated alternative routes and observe the site markings.
