ALMA party holds final rally ahead of May 24 legislative elections
The ALMA movement held its final pre-election rally at the Pallas Theatre in Nicosia on Sunday, May 17. Led by Odysseas Michaelidis, the party presented its 56 candidates who are running in the legislative elections scheduled for May 24. Michaelidis emphasized that the party's goal is to become the third regulatory force in the new parliament, aiming to hold the political system accountable. He stated that the party seeks to transform voter frustration into hope and address issues of transparency and social inclusion. Haridimos Tsoukas, the deputy leader of the movement, also addressed the crowd, calling for political renewal. The event featured a message of support from the European Democratic Party (EDP). Michaelidis urged voters to treat their ballots as a tool for change rather than a mere selection for parliamentary seats. The gathering concluded with music, marking the end of the party's formal campaign activities.
