Cyprus cabinet announces new breakfast program for preschool children

During a meeting at the Presidential Palace, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides announced the launch of a new initiative titled 'Breakfast for All'. The program involves a 1.5 million euro investment aimed at providing breakfast to students in public kindergartens. In the pilot phase starting this June, the initiative will cover 3,900 children in the Larnaca and Famagusta districts. The President stated that the government intends to expand the program to all provinces and educational levels in the future. The project is being implemented in collaboration with private sponsors, and the government is inviting additional organizations to contribute to ensure its nationwide implementation. In addition to this social initiative, the cabinet meeting addressed current developments concerning the country's natural gas production and domestic governance matters. The Minister of Education is expected to provide further technical details during an upcoming press conference.
