Aris Limassol announces the departures of Aleksandr Kokorin and Leno Sofroniou

Aris Limassol has officially announced the end of the contracts for two players, striker Aleksandr Kokorin and goalkeeper Leno Sofroniou. The Russian forward Aleksandr Kokorin will depart the club after the final match of the season against AEK Larnaca. Kokorin joined the team during the championship-winning season, scoring 13 goals and earning the title of the league's MVP as voted by PASP. He also recorded the club's first-ever goal in a European group stage and reached 100 appearances for the team during the 2025/26 season. Concurrently, 31-year-old goalkeeper Leno Sofroniou is leaving after seven years with the club. Sofroniou was the longest-serving player in the modern era of the team, having joined when the club was in the second division during the 2019-2020 season. Despite recording only 29 appearances, he served as a team captain and a symbol of stability for the club throughout its transformation.
