Voting procedures for the 2026 Cypriot parliamentary elections abroad
The Cypriot parliamentary elections are scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026. Citizens of the Republic of Cyprus residing abroad can cast their votes at designated polling stations in Greece, the United Kingdom, and Belgium. Eligibility requirements include being at least 18 years of age, holding a valid Republic of Cyprus identity card, and having lived on the island for a cumulative total of at least six months. Merely possessing Cypriot heritage is insufficient for voting rights. Estimates of the diaspora population indicate 50,000 to 70,000 citizens in Greece, 300,000 to 450,000 in the United Kingdom, and 3,000 to 5,000 in Belgium. In Greece, polling stations will operate from 07:00 to 18:00 with a one-hour break at 12:00, located at the embassy in Athens and a secondary site in Thessaloniki.
