Jonathan Andic arrested in connection with the death of Mango founder Isak Andic

Jonathan Andic, the 45-year-old son of Mango founder Isak Andic, was arrested by Catalan authorities on May 19, 2026, as a suspect in his father's death. Isak Andic died in December 2024 after falling more than 100 meters from a cliff during a hiking trip in Montserrat, near Barcelona. While initially treated as an accident, investigators now classify the case as a potential homicide due to inconsistencies in Jonathan's testimonies regarding his father's actions before the fall. A judge at the Martorell court ordered Jonathan Andic’s provisional detention, which he avoided by paying a one-million-euro bail. The court has also imposed restrictive measures, including the surrender of his passport and a prohibition on leaving Spain. Jonathan Andic is required to appear before the court on a weekly basis. The Andic family maintains his complete innocence, stating that no evidence exists against him and that he is fully cooperating with the investigation.
