Patient death at Dafni psychiatric hospital under investigation

A 46-year-old patient died at the Dafni psychiatric hospital following an incident in a shared room. A 57-year-old roommate claimed to have strangled the victim. However, hospital administration sources provide a different account, stating the deceased was found on the floor near his bed in the early morning hours. Staff were alerted by the sound of a fall and attempted resuscitation, but the patient was pronounced dead. Following the death, the 57-year-old roommate confessed to the killing. A medical examiner was called to the facility to determine the official cause of death. As of now, the exact circumstances remain under investigation and the cause of death is not yet confirmed by forensics.
