Consumer Price Index and inflation data for April 2026

In April 2026, the Consumer Price Index in Cyprus showed an annual increase of 3.0% and a monthly rise of 2.2% compared to March 2026. The energy sector significantly impacted these figures, recording an annual increase of 8.5% and a monthly increase of 7.5%. Eurostat data confirmed that annual inflation in both Cyprus and the Eurozone reached 3% in April, marking an acceleration from the previous month. In March 2026, inflation was recorded at 1.5% for Cyprus and 2.6% for the Eurozone. Across the Eurozone, inflation was driven primarily by services, contributing 1.38 percentage points, followed by energy at 0.99 percentage points. Among member states, Romania recorded the highest annual inflation at 9.5%, while Sweden reported the lowest at 0.5%.
