Apollon Limassol secures key player contract extensions

Apollon Limassol has officially confirmed contract extensions for several key members of its squad as it prepares for the upcoming Coca-Cola Cup final. Czech defender Josef Kvinta has signed an extension until May 2030, while German goalkeeper Philipp Kuhn has extended his tenure until May 2027. Additionally, the club previously announced an extension with French midfielder Gaetan Weissbeck until 2029. Kuhn, who joined the team in November 2024, has made 48 appearances and recorded 19 clean sheets. Kvinta, who arrived in January 2025, has also played 48 matches and scored five goals for the club. These strategic administrative moves aim to stabilize the team's core following a period of progress under manager Hernan Losada. Apollon is set to face Paphos FC in the cup final on May 29, 2026. The club's management, led by Nikos Kirzis, stated these decisions are intended to bolster the team's competitiveness in both domestic and European competitions for the upcoming seasons.
