Democratic Rally holds final campaign rally before upcoming elections
Ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections, the Democratic Rally (DISY) held its final campaign gathering. Party leader Annita Dimitriou stated that the election period was marked by political toxicity and polarization, which hindered meaningful dialogue on pressing public issues. The party emphasized the need for stability, highlighting its role in economic and structural reforms. According to Dimitriou, the complexity of the political scene is evidenced by 19 participating parties and approximately 750 candidates. She acknowledged public difficulties regarding inflation, housing, and traffic. During the rally, Deputy President Efthymios Diplaros defended the party’s record, while Greek Minister Margaritis Schinas, representing New Democracy, urged voters to build a wall against populism.
