Paphos municipality initiates road infrastructure upgrades
The Municipality of Paphos has begun asphalt paving works on the road section extending from the Paphos Hospital roundabout to the Anavargos entrance chapel. Acting Mayor Angelos Onisiforou stated that this is the second major road project recently undertaken, following improvements on the segment from the Biofos traffic lights to the Petridia area. The local authorities have set a goal to complete extensive upgrades across the city's entire road network by the end of the year. While initial reports differed on whether work commenced yesterday or this evening, officials confirmed the project is currently underway. These interventions are officially intended to enhance road safety, infrastructure functionality, and the overall quality of life for residents. The city administration emphasizes that these efforts are part of a broader strategy to improve public spaces and daily mobility throughout Paphos.
