TEPAK director announces candidacy for parliamentary elections

The Director of Administration and Finance at the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) has announced his intention to run for parliament as an honorary candidate for the DIKO party. With over thirty years of experience in administrative and leadership roles, he claims his background in university management will translate effectively into the legislative field. He specifically highlights his efforts since 2015 to restructure the university, noting that at that time, the institution was operating from over 40 different rented buildings. He points out that this fragmented infrastructure resulted in high annual operational costs of approximately 5 million euros. The candidate asserts that these initiatives were crucial in transforming the historic center of Limassol. He emphasizes that his governance approach focuses on accountability, strategic planning, and fostering social and economic development. The announcement centers on his professional tenure at TEPAK as evidence of his capability to handle public affairs and institutional reform.
