Athienou to host final meeting of Green Visionary Artistry project

The Municipality of Athienou in Cyprus participated in the sixth transnational meeting of the European project Green Visionary Artistry, held in Thessaloniki from May 11 to 14, 2026. The project involves representatives from eight European countries: Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Lithuania, Hungary, Slovenia, and Cyprus. Athienou was represented by municipal councilors Stylianos Korais and Giannis Papouis. The initiative focuses on urban planning, ecology, sustainability, art, and cultural diversity, aiming to promote environmental awareness among youth. Participants engaged in collaborative group activities to address environmental issues through artistic expression. The project seeks to upgrade citizen skills regarding energy and the environment while fostering social change. Athienou has been selected to host the final meeting of this network in November 2026.
