Larnaca announces Kataklysmos festival program for 2026

The Municipality of Larnaca has announced the preparations for the annual Kataklysmos festival, which will take place from May 29 to June 3, 2026. This traditional event, spanning over 100 years of history, will include six days of cultural programs and entertainment. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 29, at 8:00 p.m. on the main stage at Finikoudes beach. Speeches will be delivered by Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras and guest Minister of Health Neofytos Charalambidis. The festival features various competitions, including Cypriot poetry, love songs, traditional 'tsiattista' verses, flute playing, and traditional dances. Events will be hosted simultaneously across four locations: the main stage at Finikoudes beach, Europe Square, the Medieval Castle square, and a specific stage at the Medieval Castle.
