Rescue operation for injured person in Lympia ravine

On the afternoon of the incident, at approximately 17:04, the Fire Service responded to a distress call regarding an individual trapped in a ravine in a rural area near the community of Lympia in the Nicosia district. A rescue team from the Akropoli Fire Station, named in honor of Sergeant Spyros Ttantis, was deployed to the scene. The injured person was found conscious and was successfully extracted from the ravine using a stretcher and specialized rescue equipment. Following the extraction, the individual was handed over to ambulance personnel. The patient was transported to Nicosia General Hospital for further medical treatment.
