DIPA leader Marios Garoyian casts vote and comments on parliamentary elections

Marios Garoyian, the leader of the Democratic Alignment (DIPA), cast his vote at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday at the Second Primary School of Engomi in Parisinos, Polling Station 243. In his post-voting statement, Garoyian criticized the election campaign for being characterized by toxicity, personal attacks, and a lack of focus on substantive social issues. He emphasized that the country faces a multi-layered crisis affecting income, institutional stability, and social cohesion, alongside geopolitical risks. Garoyian argued that solutions require collective work rather than slogans and urged citizens to vote responsibly for the stability and future of Cyprus. He cautioned against leaving the country in the hands of opportunists, extremists, or inexperienced experimenters. The DIPA leader expressed the need for national consensus and stated that all election results must be respected. He concluded by reiterating that politics is a matter of duty and responsibility toward the country and future generations.
