Temporary fencing installed at Cape Greco sea caves
The Cyprus Department of Forests has installed a temporary fence at the Sea Caves in Cape Greco National Forest Park. The measure was implemented to prohibit cliff diving, which authorities state has caused serious accidents and risks to both visitors and rescue personnel. Additionally, the fencing serves to protect the geological formation, which officials have identified as unstable and prone to collapse. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Joint Rescue Coordination Center, the Geological Survey Department, the Environment Department, and the Fire Service. Public authorities have requested that visitors comply with all signage and safety instructions in the area. The Department of Forests stated that it will continue to monitor the site and coordinate further safety measures with relevant state agencies.
