Recent reports describe two separate incidents involving police officers in Paphos and Nicosia
On Friday, May 22, an individual entered the Paphos Central Police Station acting erratically and shouting. When an officer approached to inquire about the purpose of his visit, the individual pushed the officer, resulting in his immediate arrest. The motives for the person's behavior at the station remain under investigation. In a separate incident in Nicosia, police stopped a foreign national who was walking on foot for a routine check. According to local reports, the suspect physically attacked the officers, tore one officer's uniform, and used verbal abuse before being restrained and handcuffed. The suspect in the Nicosia case is being brought to court to face charges. Both incidents involve police investigations, with the Nicosia case being handled by the Central Police Station.
