Two separate police investigations in Limassol
Limassol police are currently managing two distinct criminal cases. In the first case, a 34-year-old man was arrested for attempted burglary after an off-duty officer spotted him and an accomplice entering an apartment building. The suspect was found in possession of burglary tools and is scheduled to appear before the Limassol District Court for a detention order. In the second case, a 50-year-old man was remanded in custody for eight days by the Limassol District Court. He is accused of stealing approximately €800,000 from a local company between 2016 and 2019, as well as money laundering. The suspect was apprehended abroad under a European Arrest Warrant and extradited to Cyprus on Friday. Both cases are being investigated by the Limassol CID.
