Olympiacos seeks new goalkeepers to strengthen roster

Olympiacos currently has only one goalkeeper under contract as Alexandros Paschalakis and Nikos Botis are set to leave the club on June 30. The departure of these players has prompted the club to actively seek two new goalkeepers for the upcoming season. A key priority for the management is to recruit at least one player who qualifies as club-trained to assist with European roster regulations. Thanasis Papadoudis, the 22-year-old Paphos FC goalkeeper who previously developed in the Olympiacos youth system and B-team, is currently the primary target. Papadoudis signed a two-year contract with the Cypriot club in the summer of 2024 and recorded six appearances across all competitions this past season. Additionally, Dimitris Stournaras, 24, is being considered as another potential candidate who meets the club-trained criteria. The club is currently reviewing a list of eligible players to fill the three available goalkeeper positions.
