Turkey prepares legislation to formalize the Blue Homeland doctrine

This legislation aims to define maritime zones in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean extending up to 200 nautical miles. The doctrine posits that Greek islands and Cyprus have restricted rights to an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and continental shelf beyond their territorial waters.
