105-year-old voter participates in Cyprus elections
Argyri Achillea, a 105-year-old resident of Tala in the Paphos district, cast her ballot in the recent Cypriot elections. Recognized as the oldest voter in her constituency, she maintains a consistent record of participating in national electoral processes. Achillea is a mother of eight, with an extended family comprising 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren. Known for a lifetime of agricultural labor and managing a community coffee shop, she continues to express civic engagement. Following her vote, she demonstrated high spirits by singing a traditional song for those present at the polling station. She has publicly stated her ambition to live long enough to participate in the next presidential election. Her family, including her granddaughter Sofia who assisted her at the polls, continues to support her in maintaining her long-standing tradition of voting.
