Christos Clerides casts vote in parliamentary elections
On May 24, 2026, Christos Clerides, president of the Democratic Change (DIMAL) party, cast his vote in the Cypriot parliamentary elections. He arrived at the Lykavittos Primary School in Nicosia shortly before 8 a.m., specifically at Polling Station C, Ballot Box 010. During his appearance, Clerides emphasized that the day belongs to the citizens and expressed confidence in the democratic process. He thanked the media and the approximately 9,000 personnel involved in organizing the elections. The candidate noted the historical significance of the polling location, recalling that it was where former Presidents Glafkos Clerides and George Vasiliou, as well as Ezekias Papaioannou, traditionally voted. He mentioned that he has attended the same school since 1960. Finally, he called on voters to use their logic and experience to participate in the democratic exercise.
