Voting disruptions reported in Drosia and Frenaros during elections

During the election process, voters in the Drosia area of Larnaca experienced confusion due to structural changes at polling stations. Authorities decided to separate refugee voters from local residents, resulting in voting taking place at two different primary schools located across from each other. Many voters, particularly the elderly and those with mobility issues, faced significant inconvenience when they arrived at their traditional polling locations only to be redirected. In a notable incident, an elderly couple decided to leave without casting their ballots after being repeatedly referred between different stations. Meanwhile, at a polling station in Frenaros, some voters expressed frustration because they could not find their preferred party on the ballot. The presiding officer had to intervene to clarify that the ballot paper consists of two sides to resolve the issue. Officials and staff at both locations are reportedly making efforts to assist voters navigate these changes.
