President of Cyprus discusses election results and sports events

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides addressed the public regarding his schedule on the day of the parliamentary elections. During a press engagement, he confirmed that he would primarily monitor the electoral results. Simultaneously, he expressed interest in the Euroleague Final Four basketball game in Athens between Real Madrid and Olympiacos Piraeus, stating that he is a fan of the latter. Beyond basketball, he noted his support for the football club Paphos FC. He announced his intention to attend the local football Cup final this Friday. He emphasized that despite his personal athletic interests, his focus remains on the election outcomes. There were no contradictions between the reports regarding his public stance. He clarified that he voted according to his own ideological and political framework.
