Cyprus U20 athletics championships concluded in Limassol

The 70th Junior Men's and 57th Junior Women's Cypriot Athletics Championships took place on May 22-23, 2026, at the Tsirio Athletic Center in Limassol. The GSO Limassol club emerged as the overall winner in both categories, securing their 6th consecutive title in the Junior Women's division and their 4th in the Junior Men's. GSO achieved a significant milestone by scoring 180 points, setting a decade record. GSP Nicosia finished second and GSK Paphos third in both divisions. During the event, Marilena Papanikolaou set a new U18 national record in the long jump with a distance of 6.20 meters. Additionally, Marina Hadjikosta established a new U18 national record in the shot put with a distance of 14.40 meters. The championships featured athletes born in 2007 or later, with organisers reporting one national record, four meet records, and 106 personal bests recorded across the two-day event.
