Alma movement reacts to parliamentary election exit polls

Supporters and officials of the movement Alma – Citizens for Cyprus gathered at their headquarters on Sunday to await the results of the parliamentary elections. Following the release of exit polls at 18:00, party members gathered in the building expressed satisfaction and applauded the preliminary figures. Party spokesperson Katerina Paparadamanthous is scheduled to deliver statements regarding the exit poll data. Movement president Odysseas Michaelides is expected to arrive at the headquarters around 19:00. He is scheduled to address the public once approximately 50 percent of the actual votes have been counted. The atmosphere at the headquarters has been described by local media as optimistic throughout the afternoon.
