Salary structure and 2026 increases for Cyprus parliament officials

Data from the General Accounting Office of the Republic of Cyprus details the 2026 compensation for members of parliament and religious representatives. The President of the House receives a gross annual salary of 146,174 euros, with a monthly take-home pay of 7,461 euros. Members of Parliament and religious representatives earn a gross annual salary of 99,612 euros, including allowances, resulting in a net monthly income of 5,466 euros. Compared to 2025, the net annual earnings of MPs have increased by 2,518 euros, while the President of the House saw an increase of 1,658 euros. Compensation includes various benefits such as representation allowances and clerical service funds. The General Accounting Office notes that these salaries are not the highest in the public sector, as 38 other categories of state officials, such as the Attorney General, receive higher net annual compensation. Deductions for pensions, gratuities, and income tax are calculated based on a full 12-month tenure. The reporting comes following recent parliamentary elections and the formation of the new House of Representatives.
