UK Defense Secretary's flight experiences GPS interference near Russia

Last week, a British Royal Air Force Falcon 900LX aircraft carrying UK Defense Secretary John Healey experienced GPS signal interference. The incident occurred on Thursday while the plane was flying near the Russian border during a return trip from Estonia, where the Secretary had met with British troops. During the three-hour flight, onboard devices lost internet connectivity, forcing pilots to utilize alternative navigation methods. The British Ministry of Defence and Secretary Healey described the incident as a reckless act of Russian interference. Although the ministry confirmed the technical disruption, it did not explicitly state whether the aircraft was a deliberate target. The event follows a separate incident in April involving the dangerous interception of a British surveillance aircraft by Russian jets over the Black Sea. The UK government maintains that its air force is prepared to address such electronic warfare measures.
