APOEL linked with potential summer transfer of Mahir Emreli

Azerbaijani media outlet Sportal.az has reported that the 28-year-old Azerbaijani international forward Mahir Emreli is a transfer target for the Cypriot club APOEL for the upcoming summer window. Emreli, who spent time at Kaiserslautern last season, is reportedly considering a career move due to limited playing time. The player has a notable track record, having scored 68 goals in 187 appearances for Qarabag. His career also includes stints at Dinamo Zagreb, where he scored 10 goals in 47 matches, Legia Warsaw with 11 goals in 33 games, and Nuremberg, where he recorded 11 goals in 25 appearances. Emreli has earned 59 caps for the Azerbaijan national team, scoring 6 goals. Reports also suggest that his former club, Nuremberg, and manager Miroslav Klose are interested in re-signing him. Both APOEL and Nuremberg are currently identified as the primary contenders for his services.
