Recent criminal investigations in Cyprus involving arson and burglaries
Cypriot authorities are investigating three distinct criminal cases. In a separate case in Limassol, a 31-year-old man was arrested and remanded for eight days in connection with three residential burglaries and thefts occurring on May 26, 2026. Furthermore, two 20-year-old men were arrested in Limassol for the arson of a betting shop owned by a 40-year-old man, which occurred at 2:50 a.m. The suspects in the betting shop arson were allegedly identified via CCTV and reportedly confessed to acting for financial reward under orders from a third party.
