Retirement at 60 for 34 MPs of the new Parliament – Two-speed retirement

New legislation regarding the abolition of multiple pensions has resulted in two distinct retirement age groups among the 56 new members of parliament. While 22 members will retire at 65, 34 others retain the right to retire at 60 due to previously established rights and constitutional protections.
