Police conduct widespread overnight operations across Cyprus

Cypriot police conducted widespread overnight operations aimed at preventing crime and maintaining public order. Reports provide conflicting data regarding the outcomes of these actions. One set of reports states 10 arrests were made, 637 drivers were checked, and 337 traffic citations were issued, including 195 for speeding and 10 vehicle impoundments. Another set of reports indicates four arrests, 662 driver checks, and 212 traffic citations, with 92 for speeding and seven impoundments. Breathalyser and drug testing results also varied significantly between the two versions of the event. Inspections at premises resulted in either six or 11 reports depending on the source. These operations remain part of a continuous effort by law enforcement to ensure public safety.
