AEK Larnaca signs Jan Repas and APOEL investment talks continue
AEK Larnaca FC has reached a preliminary agreement with Slovenian midfielder Jan Repas for a two-year contract. The 28-year-old player, who previously competed for NK Domzale, SM Caen, and NK Maribor, is expected to arrive in Cyprus within 24 hours to finalize the move. Repas has recorded 228 appearances for Maribor with 27 goals and 42 assists. Meanwhile, APOEL is in negotiations regarding a potential investment from Savvas Liasis, which involves creating a new corporate entity to manage the club's football operations. APOEL spokesperson Nektarios Petevinos confirmed that discussions with the Cyprus Football Association are ongoing to ensure the model complies with UEFA licensing regulations. The investor has reportedly committed to assuming the club's existing debts and contractual obligations. Additionally, Cypriot midfielder Stavros Gavriel has decided to move to Nacional Madeira in Portugal, declining a return to APOEL.
