Larnaca Biennale 2027 announced with 'Metatopies' theme

The fifth edition of the Larnaca Biennale is scheduled to take place from October 13 to November 26, 2027. Curators Niki Papaspirou and Marios Fournaris have set the thematic focus as 'Metatopies: Geographies in Motion,' exploring geological, anthropological, social, political, and historical shifts. Artists may submit proposals via the official website between June 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027. An international jury, whose members will be announced in the coming months, will evaluate the submissions. In addition to the main exhibition, the event will feature a program of parallel cultural activities including music, theatre, dance, and workshops across the Larnaca district. Applications for these parallel events will be accepted from July 1, 2026, until October 31, 2026.
