Police increase patrols for the holiday long weekend

Police in Cyprus and the British Base Areas have announced increased security measures for the long weekend from Saturday, May 30, 2026, to Monday, June 1, 2026. Authorities will intensify road patrols on highways and major arteries to prevent accidents, focusing on speeding, alcohol, and drug-related traffic violations.
