Fuel prices in Cyprus expected to drop within ten days
Savvas Prokopiou, chairman of the Cyprus Petrol Station Owners' Association, stated that fuel prices in Cyprus are likely to decrease within the next 10 days. This projected adjustment follows a recent decline in international oil prices, which saw a drop of approximately $10 to $15. Prokopiou noted that international market changes typically take 10 to 15 days to reflect in the domestic Cypriot market. While international oil prices have seen some recent increases, the historical delay pattern supports the expectation of a price reduction at the pump. The chairman emphasized that the market remains volatile and unstable, noting that future price trends are difficult to predict due to shifting global factors. Despite these uncertainties, the association anticipates a downward adjustment based on prior experience. These statements were provided to the Cyprus News Agency (CNA).
