Mandatory online application process for overdue social security payments

The Law Office of the Republic of Cyprus has announced a change in the procedure for settling overdue social security contributions. Individuals with outstanding warrants regarding these debts are now required to submit applications exclusively through an online process. Applicants must use the specific form titled 'Application for payment by installments of overdue social security contributions,' which is available on the official website of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance. This new regulation, which came into effect on May 15, 2026, mandates that all relevant documentation be submitted electronically. The deadline for submitting these applications to regularize overdue payments is September 14, 2026. As a consequence of these changes, the Law Office of the Republic will no longer accept physical or manual applications for the settlement of these debts. The initiative aims to streamline the administrative process for all affected contributors.
