Call for proposals for the Nicosia International Festival 2026

The Nicosia International Festival 2026 has opened a call for professional artists and legal entities based in Cyprus to submit project proposals. The festival is scheduled to take place between September and October 2026. Eligible applicants include individuals or organizations working in visual, digital, and performing arts, music, photography, oral storytelling, gastronomy, and horticulture. Priority will be given to multidisciplinary proposals that combine two or more fields, such as literature and local food or botany and children's activities. The organizers are seeking non-conventional presentation formats, including site-specific performances in places like balconies, the Municipal Garden, traditional taverns, monuments, or private courtyards. Projects designed for children and youth audiences are encouraged, particularly those involving multiple artistic disciplines. Participants are invited to draw inspiration from the history, daily life, and cultural experiences of Nicosia, both traditional and contemporary. Proposals should demonstrate innovative approaches to space and audience interaction.
