Infrastructure projects inaugurated in Pyrga community
On Thursday, Minister of the Interior Konstantinos Ioannou inaugurated several infrastructure projects in the community of Pyrga. The projects include the renovation of the village core, the establishment of a Youth Center, and the upgrade of the central park. The Youth Center, costing approximately €741,000, was developed on the site of a former police station. The renovation of the historical core, with a budget of approximately €2 million, includes road paving, sidewalk construction, parking reorganization, and the creation of central and smaller squares. Additionally, an upgrade and maintenance project for the central park was completed at a cost exceeding €61,000. Minister Ioannou stated that these initiatives aim to improve the functionality and aesthetics of the public spaces. The government emphasized the repurposing of inactive public buildings to support local community development and youth activities.
