AUB Mediterraneo receives EQUIS accreditation

The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) has announced that its Faculty of Business has been awarded EQUIS accreditation by the EFMD. This achievement makes it the first business school in Cyprus to receive this internationally recognized certification. The accreditation is part of a broader recognition for the American University of Beirut (AUB), which includes the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business in Beirut. Consequently, AUB is now the first institution in both Lebanon and Cyprus to hold this accreditation. The review process evaluated governance, programs, research, student experience, and corporate engagement. Less than 2 percent of business schools globally hold the EQUIS seal. This status, combined with previously attained AACSB accreditation, aims to bridge US and European educational standards. University officials, including Dean Alain Daou and President Wassim El Hajj, highlighted the significance of this milestone for the institution's campus in Paphos.
