Recent drone attacks and military updates across Russia and Ukraine

On Friday, Ukrainian drone strikes targeted several regions in Russia, resulting in one fatality at a synthetic fiber plant in Volzhsky and injuries to two others. Fires were also reported at energy facilities in Volgograd, a fuel depot in the Yaroslavl region, and the port of Temryuk in Krasnodar. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its forces intercepted 208 Ukrainian drones overnight. Separately, in the Russian-controlled part of Donetsk, local leader Denis Pushilin reported that a Ukrainian drone strike killed three utility workers and injured another in Vuglegirsk. Meanwhile, Russian forces claimed to have captured the village of Novovasilivka in the Kharkiv region as part of efforts to create a buffer zone. While Moscow demands a withdrawal from the entire Donbas region, Kyiv continues to reject these territorial claims and asserts its military positions are improving along the 1,200-kilometer front.
