Cyprus-Greece ferry service resumes with new vessel

The sea passenger route between Cyprus and Greece has officially launched its seasonal service for this year. The Italian-flagged ferry AF Marina departed from the DP World Limassol passenger terminal at approximately 1 p.m. on Friday. The vessel replaces the Daleela, which had previously served the route since the service began. The maiden voyage of the AF Marina carried 129 passengers, 70 vehicles, and 7 to 8 pets. Built in 1994, the new vessel is four years younger than its predecessor and has a capacity of 394 passengers and approximately 290 vehicles. Scandro Holding Ltd CEO Charalambos Manoli noted that the company recorded an increase in bookings for this season. Upgrades include improved catering, first-class cabins for all passengers, and the ability for passengers to keep pets within their cabins rather than in separate kennels.
