Industrial production and producer price index data for spring 2026

The Statistical Service reported that the Industrial Producer Price Index reached 121.7 points in April 2026 (base 2021=100), reflecting a 0.3% increase from March 2026 and a 0.2% decrease compared to April 2025. Monthly increases were recorded across all sectors, including water supply (1.9%), electricity (0.6%), manufacturing (0.2%), and mining (0.1%). On an annual basis, water supply rose by 6.3%, mining by 1.6%, and manufacturing by 1.0%, while electricity supply declined by 6.8%. Meanwhile, the Industrial Production Index for March 2026 reached 116.7 points, marking an annual growth of 4.7% and a 1.5% rise for the first quarter of 2026. In March 2026, manufacturing production grew by 2.8% annually, with notable increases in basic metal production (8.5%) and rubber and plastic products (7.1%). Conversely, sectors such as machinery and transport equipment manufacturing saw a 4.8% decline in production during March. Overall, the first quarter of 2026 showed a significant 10.1% increase in the water collection and treatment sector.
